NBC had a second new drama in the barren scripted landscape of the fall, bringing the crime drama Found in from the previous season's development cycle. It was reliably a few hundredths stronger than The Irrational on Monday, helping keep NBC steady for the night despite a weaker The Voice.

Getting a head start on most of the broadcast scripted offerings (this lineup was back right at the start of the new year), NBC again anchored the night with Night Court, launched new multicamera comedy Extended Family, and had the final episodes of struggling La Brea. Night Court's huge drops compared with its breakout start last year meant a down night was inevitable. After some respectable results on Wednesday in the fall, Quantum Leap tanked in its last five episodes on this night and got the axe.

Sophomore comedy Lopez Vs. Lopez took over in the spring, airing its entire 10-episode season across five Tuesdays in April. The Voice returned on this night for parts of the winter/spring but went away for all of April and thus never qualified as the most frequent occupant compared with the game show spackle.

Night Court: The comparisons to the 2017 Will and Grace revival remain fairly apt, though season two of Night Court actually pulled ahead of the second W&G season in Plus and dropped only 31% vs. the staggering 42% plummet for W&G. Unlike W&G, though, this show has the local programming lead-in which might be propping it up a bit. I will be a hair kinder here than I was with W&G (C-) but I can still see a lot of similarities. It's staying on Tuesday but at 8:30 next season. Grade: C.

Lopez Vs. Lopez: The 66 average was a 72 at 8/7c and a 60 at 8:30, meaning it was probably not that different from what Night Court and Extended Family would've done if aired into April. It matched its Plus from season one, which was mostly on Friday and not as impressive on a weeknight, but just good enough for season three (and a planned return to Friday). Grade: C+.

Extended Family: Definitely stronger than last year's American Auto, somewhat weaker than Night Court, maybe a hair weaker than Lopez Vs. Lopez. Overall, a very middling occupant that might've been a contender to move to Friday alongside Lopez, but NBC saw more upside in the new Reba McEntire multicam. Grade: C.

The Voice Tue Fall: Already updated.

La Brea: We knew this was what it was from its winter run last year. It got somewhat worse but nothing too surprising. Grade: C-.

The Voice Tue Spring: Already updated.

Found: This show was consistently a few hundredths better than The Irrational in the fall, actually quite similar to season one of Quantum Leap despite a lower Voice lead-in, and held up rather nicely in its two without-Voice eps in January, building big on La Brea. The one catch is it never really had any drama competition (or football competition for that matter). That'll change when it moves to Thursday after SVU, but it's looked fine so far. Worth noting that Quantum Leap stepped into the same situation immediately after Found wrapped and did quite a bit worse. Grade: B.

Quantum Leap: It looked OK on Wednesdays at 8/7c in the fall but took a big hit in the move to Tuesday after La Brea. That's a tough move, but the direct comparison with how Found fared there was a very unflattering look, and so Quantum won't return for season three. Grade: C-.
