Not gonna discuss this as deeply as last year but it was another year of pretty meteoric growth for SmackDown!, up more than 20% in each segment of the year and double-digits in raw numbers. The cumulative effect of two years of growth was on display, as the league average including SmackDown was almost 3% higher (more than a full hundredth of a point) than it would've been without. Fortunately (at least for me!) it's headed to USA Network next season. We'll want to remember next year that its departure could exaggerate the league average decline for that season, but at least the inflation won't be a problem going forward.
