With its scripted lineup off until February, primetime editions of The Price Is Right kept the lights on in the 8/7c hour, but Loteria Loca dropped almost half that audience in the next hour. TPIR later went on to its role on winter Wendesdays between Survivor seasons, where it did much better.

In mid-February came the return of the exact same scripted lineup CBS has used on Mondays for the past two seasons. The comedies didn't do anything too special, but the NCIS duo arguably had as much heat in this shortened season as they've had since the NCIS move to Monday.

Everything cooled off a good bit in the spring, but NCIS and especially Hawai'i were still ahead of last spring's pace.

The Neighborhood: Not one of its stronger seasons, and perhaps I'm being a bit too harsh because the NCIS dramas trended so much better by comparison, but we're still talking about an incredibly tight range for this show historically, with five of its six seasons between 116 and 121. Grade: C+.

Bob Hearts Abishola: The end was announced before the season premiere, so these particular ratings didn't really matter, but it was nearly as consistent as Neighborhood with all five of its seasons between 92 and 101. That was never enough for it to feel on particularly solid footing, but it was still a nice occupant and we'll see if newbie Poppa's House can do any better. Grade: C+.

NCIS: It's possible that the NCIS pair actually benefited from avoiding the fall with its NFL competition, but they were still among the more impressive returnees in the late season. The mothership returned to the same Plus from its first Monday season in 2021-22. Grade: B+.

NCIS: Hawai'i: Hawai'i actually had a career high in Plus if you throw out the post-NFL ep from season one; it averaged an 87 on Monday that season. Not sure why it would trend several points better than NCIS but it was a pretty unmistakable difference, and the most promise this show had shown after being a middling performer for two years. (Maybe LL Cool J boosted the ratings?) Nevertheless, CBS decided to take a crack at a different NCIS spin-off, and NCIS: Origins will inherit the slot next season. Grade: A-.
