CBS returned its Monday lineup from 2021-22 completely intact. In the fall, the comedy hour at 8/7c was fairly steady, but NCIS and its spin-off were unable to keep up with their relatively strong starts from last fall.

The news got better across the board in the winter as all four shows perked up somewhat, way better than how they behaved last year. Neighborhood and Abishola were up year-to-year in Plus, while the dramas were basically dead even. Hawai'i benefited from a big crossover episode at the start of January, but then had a 0.29 the next week against a huge NFL playoff game which kinda cancelled it out.

The spring was not particularly kind, with all four shows dipping below last spring's pace. Hawai'i was mired with 0.3's for the whole spring and had some ugly y2y points.

The Neighborhood: Though it was perhaps overshadowed a bit this year by the strong Thursday comedies, The Neighborhood just keeps plugging away, leading one of the most consistent hours in primetime over the last several years. Grade: B.

Bob Hearts Abishola: A little worse than The Neighborhood trend-wise but still very much in line with its performance historically. Grade: B-.

NCIS: A lot of its decline was tied up in the early part of the season, when it was compared against the Mark Harmon send-off episodes from fall 2021. Since then, it's been down more gradually, but it's still kinda crazy to see this show fall all the way back to the ratings of its early seasons. Lowest Plus since season four! Grade: C+.

NCIS: Hawai'i: Decline is largely driven by a post-football episode from season one. Just looking at Monday episodes, it's -7% in Plus, but I'm a touch harsher than with the mothership because it fell off more at the end of the season. Not really any stronger than the first couple Monday seasons of Bull now. Grade: C.
