WHAT MATTERS:
- ABC won a Thursday night full of premieres with its game show lineup of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune (1.1), The Chase (0.9) and The Hustler (0.7). The first two hours started well despite coming nowhere close to last year's Jeopardy! The Greatest of All Time ratings, while Hustler improved on its post-Bachelor preview from Monday.
- On Fox, Hell's Kitchen (0.7) was back with its first original episode in almost two years, and was off just a couple tenths from the fall 2018 season premiere. Sitcoms Call Me Kat (0.6) and Last Man Standing (0.5) made the move to their regular timeslot, with Kat shedding most of its Sunday preview audience.
- And NBC was somewhat in the mix with the two-episode premiere of Mr. Mayor (0.6/0.5), rating at or narrowly above typical Superstore levels, plus Law and Order: SVU (0.6) returning from more than a month off.
