WHAT MATTERS:
- NBC's This Is Us (1.4/1.3) made a solid two-hour return to the broadcast stage, building significantly on its The Voice (1.0) lead-in, though TIU was still down 25-30% from last year's premiere and also down from the spring's COVID-boosted finale (1.7).
- That was enough to edge NBC ahead of ABC with a rebounding The Bachelorette (1.2/1.3) and comedy repeats (0.5/0.3), though Fox reigned supreme with the sixth and final game of the World Series (3.1/2.6/2.4).
- CBS also got into the mix on a busy night with two hours of its daytime game shows (0.7/0.6) in primetime, though they weren't a great match with The FBI Declassified (0.3). And the CW preliminarily edged back up to 0.2 with Swamp Thing.
