WHAT MATTERS:
- For the second straight year, Fox provided the breakout Friday night moment of the season. This time, it was its acquisition of the WWE's SmackDown (1.4/1.3), which roughly doubled the ratings it has been pulling on USA in recent weeks.
- It was a rough week two for ABC as American Housewife (0.5) fell two tenths from last week's premiere, while Fresh Off the Boat (0.4) and 20/20 (0.4/0.5) were also down. The CBS lineup of Hawaii Five-0 (0.7), Magnum P.I. (0.6) and Blue Bloods (0.6) was even.
- NBC's The Blacklist (0.5) returned at 8/7c at the low end of its ratings from last season, tying the year-ago Blindspot premiere in the timeslot.
