FINALS UPDATE: Holey Moley (R)
(0.5) adjusted down.
WHAT MATTERS:- After just missing out on a 2.0 for night one of the season finale, The Bachelorette (2.0/2.1) got there on night two. The huge lead-in went to a repeat of Holey Moley (0.6) at 10/9c.
- Meanwhile, Bachelorette completely demolished the network that usually has a Tuesday monopoly, as NBC's America's Got Talent (1.2/1.3) was down nearly a half point from last week and lead-out Bring the Funny (0.7) dropped by 0.2. CBS originals Love Island (0.4) and Blood and Treasure (0.3) were even, as were the CW dramas (0.1/0.2).
FINALS UPDATE: Grand Hotel (0.6) adjusted down.
WHAT MATTERS:- The season finale of The Bachelorette (1.9) hit a new season high and managed to top last year's 1.8 finale (which occurred a week later last year). Lead-out Grand Hotel (0.7) would tie its season high if it can hold in finals.
- Most of the competing originals were even vs. last Monday, the lone exception being Fox's Beat Shazam which fell to its first ever 0.5.
FINALS UPDATE: No adjustments.
It's time for a journey through the Fox Thursday schedule in 2018-19...
FINALS UPDATE: American Ninja Warrior (R)
(0.4) and
Masters of Illusion (0.2) adjusted down.
FINALS UPDATE: Elementary (0.3) adjusted down.
WHAT MATTERS:- ABC got little relief from last week's big Thursday drops; Family Food Fight (0.4) picked back up by a tenth, but Holey Moley (0.6) and Reef Break (0.3) were steady. All other originals matched last week!
FINALS UPDATE: S.W.A.T. (R)
(0.3),
Penn and Teller: Fool Us (R)
(0.2) and
Jane the Virgin (0.2) adjusted down.
WHAT MATTERS:- ABC got a small rebound from Card Sharks (0.6), while lead-in Press Your Luck (0.7) and lead-out Match Game (0.6) were even. Sharks pulled back ahead of Fox's First Responders Live (0.4) at 9/8c, as it and its lead-in MasterChef (0.7) both dropped.
- The CBS originals (0.5/1.0) matched last Wednesday, and NBC's The InBetween fell back to 0.3 for the first time since the holiday three weeks ago. The CW's Jane the Virgin (0.3) appears preempted?
FINALS UPDATE: America's Got Talent (1.7) adjusted up while
Modern Family (R)
(0.4) and
Black-ish (R)
(0.3) adjusted down.
WHAT MATTERS:- NBC's America's Got Talent (1.6/1.7) had an up night, while lead-out Bring the Funny remained at 0.9 in week three. On CBS, a down week for Love Island (0.4) continued to Tuesday, while Blood and Treasure dropped back to 0.3 in its return to 10/9c.
FINALS UPDATE: No adjustments.
WHAT MATTERS:- The Bachelorette (1.7) held onto last week's season high, and also set a new one in adults 18-34 (1.7). But its lead-out Grand Hotel (0.5) couldn't match last week. Opposite Bachelorette, Fox's So You Think You Can Dance (0.4) and CBS' Love Island (0.4) both dropped.
FINALS UPDATE: No adjustments.

FINALS UPDATE: Agents of SHIELD (0.5) adjusted up while
American Ninja Warrior (R)
(0.5),
MasterChef (R)
(0.2),
The Big Stage (0.1) and
The Outpost (R)
(0.1) adjusted down.
FINALS UPDATE: Elementary (0.4) and
The Wall (R)
(0.5) adjusted down.
WHAT MATTERS:
FINALS UPDATE: Songland (R)
(0.5) adjusted up while
Love Island (0.5) and
First Responders Live (0.5) adjusted down.
WHAT MATTERS:- Back from two weeks off, ABC's Press Your Luck (0.7) and Card Sharks (0.5) each hit new Wednesday lows, losing each hour head-to-head against Fox's MasterChef (0.8) and First Responders Live (0.6) which tied their season highs. The consolation for ABC was that Match Game (0.6) stayed even at 10/9c and actually built from Sharks.
- CBS' Love Island edged back up to 0.6 as it got back to airing alongside Big Brother (1.0). Dramas The InBetween (0.4) and Jane the Virgin (0.2) were steady.
FINALS UPDATE: Blood and Treasure (0.4) adjusted up while
The Goldbergs (R)
(0.4) and
Bring the Funny (0.9) adjusted down.
WHAT MATTERS:- Week two of Bring the Funny (1.0) fell by two tenths after a steady America's Got Talent lead-in (1.5), putting it in line with week two of Songland which also scored a 1.0.
- Though it was free from The Bachelorette competition, there was no Tuesday rebound for Love Island (0.5), while Blood and Treasure (0.3) failed to improve in a move to 9/8c.
- The CW found little interest in new drama Pandora (0.1) at 8/7c; its lead-out The 100 (0.2) improved on Pandora in the demo, even while dropping by 150,000 total viewers.
FINALS UPDATE: The Bachelorette (1.7) adjusted up while
Whose Line Is It Anyway? (0.2) adjusted down.
WHAT MATTERS:- ABC's The Bachelorette (1.6/1.7) grew to a new season high, and helped usher CBS' Love Island down to 0.5 for the first time on a weeknight. The Love Island lead-in did no favors to The Code, which fell to its first 0.3.
- Bachelorette lead-out Grand Hotel (0.6) preliminarily eked out an uptick of its own, while NBC (0.8/0.9/0.7) and Fox (0.6/0.5) were even-ish. At least in the prelims, the CW's original duo (0.3/0.3) was up.
FINALS UPDATE: Celebrity Family Feud (0.8) adjusted up while
America's Got Talent (R)
(0.4) adjusted down.
WHAT MATTERS:- ABC had a softer first half of the night with a two-tenth drop from Celebrity Family Feud (0.7), but The $100,000 Pyramid (0.8) managed to break even and grow from CFF, while To Tell The Truth (0.7) was up a notch.
- Also on the uptick was Fox's What Just Happened??! with Fred Savage (0.3), thanks in large part to stronger repeat lead-ins from the cartoons (0.4/0.4/0.5). CBS' Big Brother (1.0) and Instinct (0.3) were even.

FINALS UPDATE: No adjustments.
FINALS UPDATE: MasterChef (0.8) adjusted up.
WHAT MATTERS:- Back from a week off for the holiday, ABC Thursday saw declines from Holey Moley (0.8) and Family Food Fight (0.5), but an uptick from Reef Break (0.4) at 10/9c.
- Big Brother (1.0) moved to Thursday and matched Wednesday's rating, as did night three of Love Island (0.6). Fox was even with MasterChef (0.7) and Spin the Wheel (0.6).
- NBC had a soft return from Hollywood Game Night (0.5), kicking off its first regularly-scheduled run in two years, and the CW's summer drama The Outpost (0.1) returned for season two.
FINALS UPDATE: Big Brother (1.1) and
MasterChef (0.8) adjusted up while
Ellen's Game of Games (R)
(0.6) adjusted down.
WHAT MATTERS:- Night two of Love Island held onto the 0.6 from Tuesday's premiere, while Big Brother (1.0) was down a tick in its move to 9/8c. Fox returned to originals with a steady MasterChef (0.7) and an uptick from First Responders Live (0.5).
- ABC preempted its game show lineup in favor of the ESPY Awards (0.8/0.9/0.8), which were about in line with last year's 0.9.
FINALS UPDATE: America's Got Talent (1.5) and
MLB All-Star Game (1.9, +0.2) adjusted up while
American Housewife (R)
(0.3) and
The Goldbergs (R)
(0.3) adjusted down.
WHAT MATTERS:- Two months after the Paradise Hotel debacle on Fox, another love-themed reality series expected to chew up a lot of hours had a similarly rough start. CBS' Love Island (0.6/0.5) looks to have just barely outrated the May Paradise Hotel (0.5) premiere.
- NBC had much more promising news with its own reality premiere, Bring the Funny (1.2) at 10/9c after America's Got Talent (1.4). At least preliminarily, it actually managed to top the Songland premiere six weeks ago (1.1), even though Talent was three tenths higher on that night.
- Fox topped the night with the MLB All-Star Game (1.6/1.7/1.6), though it was down 20%ish from last year's 2.1.
FINALS UPDATE: No adjustments.
FINALS UPDATE: To Tell the Truth (0.6) adjusted down.
WHAT MATTERS:- Finally airing all originals for consecutive weeks, ABC got some game show improvement as Celebrity Family Feud (0.9) and The $100,000 Pyramid (0.8) both grew, while To Tell the Truth (0.7) was even.
- There was no change for week two of CBS' Big Brother (1.0) / Instinct (0.3) / The Good Fight (0.2), nor for the second episode of What Just Happened??! with Fred Savage (0.2) on Fox.
