With a new occupant at 9/8c in Dick Wolf's FBI, CBS pulled off growth (albeit by the narrowest of margins) in all three hours during the fall period.

After breaking 1.0 consistently in the fall, FBI took a little step down after the new year, and so did the NCIS twins (but moreso New Orleans).

And all three shows fell some more after DST, with the declines hitting double digits in the last two hours of the night. New Orleans fell as low as 0.6 on three occasions in April and May.

NCIS: Breaking even without Pauley Perrette seems good, even if it's at the lowest level in a decade for NCIS. If there were a grade between B+ and B that's what I would give, but I'll be nice because it held up much better than the rest of the night. Grade: B+.

FBI: It was not quite as strong as Bull was here, but considering Bull had maximum synergy due to Michael Weatherly, it was a very acceptable replacement. Grade: B.

NCIS: New Orleans: Not a good trend relative to the mothership, but about in line with FBI's drop relative to Bull at 9/8c. Grade: C+.
