WHAT MATTERS:
- In its return to Monday, The Bachelorette (1.5) bounced back to tie its season high from two weeks ago (and was actually up from the year-ago evening). It also launched new drama Grand Hotel (0.7) at 10/9c. Hotel looked much better than the last drama with a regular post-Bachelorette berth (Still Star-Crossed, which opened with just a 0.5 in 2017) but this was definitely a less promising start than the launch of The Whispers in 2015 (1.5 after a 2.0 B'ette).
- NBC's American Ninja Warrior (0.9) moved into its regular Monday home and tied its Wednesday episode from last week. So You Think You Can Dance (0.5) dropped a tick for Fox, while the CW welcomed back summer mainstays Penn and Teller: Fool Us (0.3) and Whose Line Is It Anyway? (0.2).
