WHAT MATTERS:
- It was a busier than usual 4th of July in the entertainment series world as CBS stayed original with Big Brother (0.9) at 9/8c and Code Black (0.6) at 10/9c. On one of the lowest-viewed weeknights of the year, Big Brother was down about 40% vs. last week's 1.5 Wednesday premiere, and three tenths below the 1.2 on Sunday.
- Usual Independence Day leader NBC was still on top with the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular (1.0/1.5), which was preliminarily right on par with last year's 1.3. A Macy's encore hour (0.9) dominated at 10/9c.
