WHAT MATTERS:
- ABC dominated with Game 3 of the NBA Finals (4.8/5.6), with the preliminary hours this time down a little over 10% year-to-year but up a teeny bit vs. Game 1 on Thursday. The nightmare scenario for ABC execs (a four-game sweep) is still alive, and the series could be over as early as Friday.
- Unlike on the first two NBA nights, there were some actual important pieces of entertainment programming, and they were all down at least a little bit. NBC's American Ninja Warrior (1.1/1.2) held up decently while 10/9c drama newbie Reverie (0.5) lost a tenth in week two.
- Fox's MasterChef (0.9/0.9) was also down (especially in the 9:00 hour when facing the actual game), CBS' Code Black (0.6) inched down, and the CW's The Originals fell to its first 0.2 of the season.
