If you are viewing this site on a mobile device, you are (hopefully!) noticing that the text looks much more readable, both in the posts and especially in the comment sections. I've finally put out a mobile-specific view that isn't just a badly scrunched-up version of the desktop view. I couldn't figure out a way to get all of my various bits of functionality through the "mobile versions" that Blogger offers, so I tried scraping something together by hand, and it has been a long time in the making. It only activates based on the size of your window, so if you are on a desktop and want to see what it looks like, you can manually resize the window and eventually it will change. The desktop version should look exactly as it did before.
In preparation for this, the tables I've been putting out in the last week or two have had relative column widths, which prevents Blogger from going haywire on the column widths when the window width becomes smaller. So hopefully this season's SpotVaults and the recent daily tables will still look OK, but there may be some older tables that have kinda ridiculous-looking columns. I'll try to explore some of the older reference posts to see if there are any immediate fixes needed.
I would love any feedback on this. I put a bunch of heavily viewed pages and the SpotVault search in the main menu, which you can toggle with the button in the top left corner. I've also added a link to a page that exactly replicates all the stuff included in the sidebar from the desktop version. It would be a couple extra clicks, but at least it's somewhere. But I would love to know if there's anything particularly essential that I should've included in the main menu, or anything else that might look terrible or not work. If there's some kind of emergency, I can put the old version back into place for now, but I hope this will go down as an upgrade for the mobile users out there. Let me know!
