WHAT MATTERS:
- FX's new drama Snowfall launched to a 0.58 demo on Wednesday, with a very young and male skew. Among the network's 2017 launches, that put it just a bit behind Legion (0.69) and Taboo (0.63) but a little ahead of Feud: Bette and Joan (0.52). Kinda crazy how close all those premieres were!
- Fear the Walking Dead got out of the way of the incoming Game of Thrones buzzsaw by airing a two-hour finale (0.93/0.83) on Sunday. While still on top of the scripted cable world, it was never really able to shake its 50%+ year-to-year decline trend. Next time we see Fear will be on September 10, not surprisingly after Thrones is done.
- While new drama Claws continues to do pretty well on Sunday, TNT has some less inspiring news with a very low-rated Monday launch for Shakespeare drama Will (0.16/0.09).
