Cablemetrics: Big Little Lies, The Walking Dead, Into the Badlands

These numbers are current through Monday, April 3.

WHAT MATTERS:

• HBO's Big Little Lies finished out its The Night Of-like trajectory with a new series high at 0.66, over a tenth above its previous peak. Both of the HBO minis shook off an early stinker result, slowly inched up during the mid-section of the season, and ended on three consecutive new series highs.

• It was also finale night on AMC, where The Walking Dead (5.42) beefed up by over a half point on finale night, and was 22% behind the year-ago finale. The spring season was consistently right around -20% y2y, never falling back to the depths that were suggested in the last few episodes of the fall half.

• And in its final post-TWD episode of the season, Into the Badlands was down to a 1.36. That seems discouraging since the lead-in was bigger, but it also had to start over 20 minutes later than usual due to the extended Dead episode. Next week, it sets out on its own.
