Low-rated Reign made the move to Friday at 8/7c, but it was yet another example of a CW series holding up well in such a move. 21 Plus is still not good, even for a CW Friday series, but it's basically the same kind of Plus it was getting in the second half of last season on Thursday. Top Model had aired the first half of its season in its old Wednesday home, then played out the string with mostly 0.3's to close out its CW run on Friday.

Another couple veteran CW dramas moved to the night at midseason, and they too held up well. They were down just a touch from their Thursday ratings while Legends of Tomorrow and The 100 made huge strides on Thursday, leading to a win all around.

TVD and The Originals looked even better when compared against even lower-priority programming from the end of the 2014-15 season.

Reign: Combining Friday in the fall with Monday in the late spring/summer, it definitely seems to have gotten tougher situations than last year. But I hesitate to actually give it a good grade because I think it still probably dropped a lot relative to local programming. It didn't get offensively bad ratings but was just kind of there. Grade: C.

The Vampire Diaries: Already updated.

America's Next Top Model Fall: Already updated. It's headed for VH1 to continue its original run.

The Originals: Already updated.
