WHAT MATTERS:
- ABC used Tuesday to get Bachelor in Paradise (1.4) on the airwaves before the Olympics show up, and in the immediate aftermath of Monday's high-rated The Bachelorette finale. The strategy worked, as Paradise handily topped last year's 1.1 Sunday premiere and even the 1.3 from last year's first Monday airing. But the 10/9c rejection continued for Mistresses (0.6) on a special night.
- The Tuesday edition of NBC's America's Got Talent (2.4) went into Olympics hiatus on an up note, and boosted a second straight night of Running Wild (1.4) to what would be the show's second-biggest raw number ever.
- The CW's Whose Line Is It Anyway? (0.5/0.5) and MADtv (0.4) were up in the prelims... but they've had a lot of preemptions lately, so stay tuned.
- On CBS, Zoo was back up to 0.8 in the prelims, surrounded by NCIS franchise repeats (0.8/0.7). Fox's Coupled signed off with a typically miserable 0.5/0.4 two-hour finale.
