Cablemetrics: Bates Motel, Damien, The People v. O.J. Simpson


These numbers are current through Thursday, March 10.

WHAT MATTERS:
  • A&E's Bates Motel was back for season four with a 0.66, down by 28% from last year's premiere.
  • Its lead-out Damien, yet another TV series based on a horror film, disappointed with a 0.31 opener. It had less than 50% retention of Bates, of course, but even worse was that it managed barely half of where The Returned opened in this slot last year (0.58).
  • FX's The People v. O.J. Simpson (American Crime Story) (1.24) had its first week-to-week uptick on the heels of new developments in the real-life O.J. case. It has stayed a strong second among the currently airing shows in this table.
