*- For this winter's War of 18-49 updates, the A18-49+ is based on a projected league average, calculated by applying the league average's current year-to-year trend (thru 1/3/16) to the final 2014-15 average. This should help make these numbers compare more fairly with fall seasons past.
Rating the Ratings: After a disappointing opening couple seasons on Friday, The Amazing Race began the road to redemption by shedding only 5% in its fall 2015 season. With a bunch of early 1.2's, the Race was actually even or up in raw numbers for five of the first six weeks of the season, but it petered out somewhat in the second half with three 1.0 ratings in the last four weeks. The y2y trend probably warrants a B+ but I'm a little more hesitant to praise this performance since it really feels like it's only making up for last season's underachievement on some level. If it can keep up this kind of trend, it'll become harder to ignore. Grade: B.
