Spotted Ratings, Wednesday 12/16/15

WHAT MATTERS:

• CBS' Survivor wrapped up another healthy season with a two-hour finale (2.2) leading into the reunion at 10/9c (1.7). Both these numbers went just barely below the 2.4/1.8 to close out last fall and the 2.3/1.8 finale night from spring 2015.

• Survivor went up against a wasteland of broadcast repeats; the only other original was the annual Nashville "On the Record" special (0.4), which was lower-rated than almost all of the repeats. ABC still finished second for the night thanks to strong comedy repeats (1.3/1.3/1.4/1.2), while NBC had holiday special Elf: Buddy's Musical Christmas (0.8) leading into Law and Order: SVU (0.7) and Chicago PD (0.9). Fox had Empire (0.7) and Rosewood (0.6), while CW went with Arrow (0.3) and Supernatural (0.3).
