Rating the Ratings: Fox's So You Think You Can Dance turned in a third straight 20%+ decline this season, with this one actually a bit steeper than even the previous two seasons. I'm still not going into D territory or lower here because this was a pretty tough competitive situation, as SYTYCD was opposite the strongest-ever seasons of The Bachelorette and American Ninja Warrior, but it's still pretty tough to put a positive spin on it.
As has become tradition with the SYTYCD update, I'm writing it without knowledge of its fate for next summer. Once again, it should be noted that it is a noticeably weaker show than the last time it got renewed... but it should also be noted that Fox had so many other debacles with summer programming that it probably can't be counted out. Grade: D+.
