Rating the Ratings: After a successful revival in 2014, Last Comic Standing got something of a timeslot upgrade in 2015 and was able to post raw numbers growth. It is a tricky one to grade for a couple reasons: 1) the season was a lot shorter, which really minimized the stretch of "meh" ratings that dragged down the average late last season; and 2) its lead-ins were a lot better. Even throwing out the two episodes directly after America's Got Talent at the beginning of the season, Talent-fueled Mr. Robinson and The Carmichael Show still had much better ratings than the likes of Undateable and Working the Engels on Thursday. So I don't think this was as impressive as the year-to-year trends indicate, but I'm still calling it a pretty positive run. There's no renewal yet, but there should absolutely be one. Grade: B+.
Here's the now updated War of 18-49 post for Last Comic Standing.
