Rating the Ratings: Supernatural finished its first decade on the air with a significant drop from last season's series peak in A18-49+. This was a disappointment, since the show had by far the best lead-in in the history of the CW from The Flash. It moved to Wednesday for the last nine episodes, where it dropped more than it would have on Tuesday, but even there its Arrow lead-in was significantly better than what it had at the same time last year with The Originals. I kinda hate to be so harsh with the grade since it's comparing to a bonafide "A" season last year; after all, this is still tied as the second-biggest Plus in series history, and it's a show that doesn't seem to get affected much by lead-ins, good or bad. But the bottom line is Supernatural never had a lead-in quite like The Flash, and if the CW chooses to give it that much support then the dynamic must be addressed. Grade: C-.
Here's the now updated War of 18-49 post for Supernatural.
