Rating the Ratings: For the second straight season, CBS' top drama dropped a little more than the league average decline. It was the series' lowest Plus since 2008-09, but still only about 10% behind the 159 series peak two years ago. Though it declined quite a bit at the end of the season, that also happened last year, so the year-to-year trends didn't really vary that much across the season; the most favorable stretch came just after the new year when the show returned to high-2's after the holidays. The show seems to be on a downward trajectory now, but it's still a pretty slow one, keeping NCIS among TV's elite dramas. Grade: C+.
