- FINALS UPDATE: Criminal Minds (1.8) got a back a tenth, but it was still a new low. Survivor (2.2) and Arrow (0.9) were also saw the week-to-week blows soften with upticks, and SVU (2.1) gained 0.1.
- The last two pieces of NBC's latest Dick Wolf crossover produced big numbers, with a special 9/8c Chicago PD (1.8) and especially the 10/9c conclusion with Law and Order: SVU (2.0) going well above the series' regular numbers.
- In the crime drama battle, NBC's strength was CBS' weakness. Survivor (2.1) continued a roller-coaster ride this season by dropping multiple tenths again, Criminal Minds (1.7) dive-bombed to a new low, and CSI: Cyber (1.2) joined Tuesday's One Big Happy in taking a brutal week-to-week drop at a crucial time (even if this one is a bit more understandable).
- ABC was up in the 8/7c hour with The Middle (2.0), flat with The Goldbergs (2.1), inched down in the 9/8c hour with Modern Family (2.9) and Black-ish (2.0) and was even with Nashville (1.3). All three of the top-of-hour shows were up vs. the year-ago evening (and, of course, the bottom-of-hour shows up even more sharply vs. previous occupants).
- Fox's American Idol (1.6) ticked up for a second straight week, while the CW's Arrow (0.8) gave back its recent increases.
