*- For this winter's War of 18-49 updates, the A18-49+ is based on a projected league average, calculated by applying the league average's current year-to-year trend (thru 3/1/15) to the final 2013-14 average. This should help make these numbers compare more fairly with seasons past.
Rating the Ratings: One of this generation's most accomplished comedies ratings-wise signed off with what will be its eleventh "hit" season in twelve tries. Men pulled very low 2's for almost all of the season, but thanks to a huge spike to 3.2 for the one-hour series finale, it almost got all the way back to its raw average from 2013-14. As with many other shows in this batch of updates, it's worth remembering that the scheduling was more favorable this year; leading out of Mom was far preferable to getting buried behind The Crazy Ones for two thirds of last season. But at least a bit of this was cancelled out by an airing on Thanksgiving and a bunch of other episodes on repeat The Big Bang Theory nights. Because of the scheduling and the finale inflation, this wasn't quite as impressive as your average even-in-raw-numbers season, but it was still a nice player for CBS to the end. Grade: B.
Here's the now updated War of 18-49 post for Two and a Half Men.
