- FINALS UPDATE: The Backstrom comeback got a little less exciting with a downward adjustment to 1.2.
- Reasonable minds could disagree about what to make of The Blacklist's opening 2.4 on Thursday. But it's hard not to see a nearly one-third drop to 1.7 in week two as a severe disappointment, and one that suggests the show got more Super Bowl help than it might have seemed at the time. Dropping even more was Allegiance (0.7), which went completely off the map in just its second week. It's now on immediate death watch. In the context of Allegiance's 1.1 premiere with a big lead-in last week, The Slap filling out the lineup at an identical 1.1 at 8/7c doesn't seem that bad, really. But it's not gonna serve as any real consolation for what happened in the last two hours.
- CBS squeezed in one last 8/7c repeat of The Big Bang Theory (2.1) in the week before The Odd Couple's premiere. With more competition than in January, an original Mom (2.1) did not fare as well as in previous post-repeat showings, and the rest of the originals were also down a touch.
- On this night, TGIT's steadiness with Grey's Anatomy (2.3), Scandal (3.1) and How to Get Away with Murder (2.7) looked pretty awesome by comparison.
- And it looks like some of those lost Blacklist viewers may have funneled back into Backstrom (1.3), which had a surprisingly large week four rebound.

I think Mom's result is a little disappointing. I get it had more competition, but I thought it could do better. It really seemed to be gaining some steam. I want this show to be an anchor, but right now I have a hard time believing in it. That 2.1 from the Big Bang repeat is better than what local programming would provide. I'm not 100% sure it would break a 2.0 if at 8:00.
Or the writers themselves from the looks of things.
NBC can provide them with more material from the looks of things.
Idk, both of those shows were clearly stronger than TBL.
To be fair, PB didn't have much to go on, it's limited in that they wanted them to keep getting arrested and then break out of it which would've gotten repetitive, which is already did by the time most people lost interest.
Bones allowed for more longevity with new team members, new villains, etc.
I wouldn't call it disappointing. Because Spot has it at True 2.2 for each of last 5 episodes. So it just visually looks bad, because it's first in 2015. Mom both had repeat lead-in and went against Grey's.
In short, Mom is doing better than in it did in fall, but not as much as some recent raw A18-49 would suggest.
ROFL. xD
But poor, poor NBC... They better hope Christina Aguilera can save their asses again.
America's Got Talent for the summer and Chicago's Got Talent for the fall season! Way to go!
Do you expect Two and a Half Men to get a big finale boost, considering all of the Charlie Sheen rumors. Is a 3.0 within the realm of possibilities?
To be fair, it was literally last minute when Yahoo finally picked it up.
It depends if people are here for it or not, but yeah, it's no surprise since Charlie is pretty much the only thing they could've pulled for the ending.
Could Scandal beat TAAHM's finale next week?
That's an interesting one actually. I do not know!
I think it will crack a 3.0. It is no How I Met Your Mother but even the office had a huge finale spike.
I agree with Silvio for once. The show clearly has a big overlap with Grey's (as does the big bang theory, I am convinced seeing as even its repeat numbers are lower when facing GA)
If you compare it with the second post Olympics week from last year (in which all networks were airing originals as well), they are up 3% (even at 8pm, up at 9pm, down at 10pm). However, I am almost certain the slap will fall from here and I am not sold on the blacklist holding steady either. I cannot imagine there is much more room for allegiance to fall but who knows. In any case, I expect the comparisons to go to the negative side of raw numbers pretty soon unless they take action.
As if things couldn't get worse, according to the data gently released by Son of the Bronx, Allegiance had an almost unbelievable bad result in 18-34. The show is now the oldest skewing show on the entire broadcast, even beating all the CBS shows with a beyond awful 24% ratio. Wow!
I laughed when it got renewed for season 2 after TVBTN mocked commenters for even claiming it had a chance of renewal. Now they mock another site for saying its renewed only to be proved wrong 24 hours later, haha.
TVBTN needs to be a lot more accurate with their predictions to be able to get away with such a mocking and dismissive editorial voice.
Ooof, 0.3 in A18-34, the same as Reign.
Still, we got through Friday without it being yanked so I guess NBC is going to give it another week. Wonder if it's because advertising for NBC's "all-new Thursdays" is still running? That's what people guessed when Welcome to the Family made it to week 3.
Maybe that's the reason, yeah. But it shouldn't realistically survive past next week!
You sure that's only a 26% skew for Grey's Anatomy? Seems a little low
Thanks, I gave it TBBT's viewership by mistake.
