- There was many a post-Valentine's rebound on the last Friday of February sweeps, but the biggest was for usual Friday champ Shark Tank (2.2), which tied its season high and could tie its series high if it adjusts up in finals. Its lead-out 20/20 (1.6) also had a very good night, perhaps benefiting from no Dateline competition. At 8/7c, Last Man Standing posted its fourth consecutive 1.3, but Cristela (0.9) had a discouraging result in Roseanne's return stint.
- CBS also fared well, with the Undercover Boss finale (1.3) inching up and procedurals Hawaii Five-0 (1.4) and Blue Bloods (1.5) each up two tenths. That marked a new season high for Blue Bloods.
- NBC continued to get outstanding mileage out of Sunday's Saturday Night Live 40th special, as a three-hour repeat (1.5) was much stronger than the network's usual lineup and made the network a very close second place overall.
- Fox was even with World's Funniest Fails (0.8) and Glee (0.6), and Hart of Dixie (0.4) ticked down from its last ep two weeks ago.

Poor Cristela. LMS is so steady! WOW at Shark Tank!
SNL repeat did better than a lot of shows on NBC this week~
Hawaii Five-0 and Blue Bloods work really well together. CBS has too many other problem timeslots to worry about Friday nights.
Very nice repeat number from SNL.
An amazing 2+ on a Friday no less.
Not surprised about SNL repeats after its' monstrous ratings.
No, Undecover Boss works very well with this night, overall.
Good night for everyone except FOX, Cristela and CW, SNL did well for a repeat.
I wonder how much TAR is going to negatively impact CBS lineup next week.
This race aired on Fox Sports 1 last year. TV By The Numbers had it at an 0.9.
I thought Cristela would rise, but oh well... SNL did really good for a repeat, above a lot of NBC's other programming. Amazing for Shark Tank! Maybe it rose because of the #SharkFight. CBS should definitely put Undercover Boss there.
Blue Bloods ties Elementary on Friday when Elementary had a 129% larger lead in. That's insane!
Do you know when we get a Best Case/Worst Case for Battle Creek; CSI: Cyber, Secrets & Lies, and American Crime?
Probably closer to the premiere dates of those shows.
That's in 8 days.
Your new name makes me sad.
Yeah, probably some time then.
That's really sad for CBS.
I think that 0.9 for Cristela is the nail in the coffin. Heck of a result for Shark Tank with that lead-in, could end up with a really big number in True.
Anyone else think that NBC might turn to more SNL specials to plug its schedule gaps next season?
Definitely, the repeat alone is doing better than about half the shows on the network.
Most of NBC's schedule is a gap, so where would you deploy SNL specials? Tuesday as a betwixt-Voice hammock? Sunday during the Event season period? Or just bring it to the line-up full-time on Thursday as an "alternative" comedy block paired with NPH?
This week was indeed the first time that The Goldbergs failed to build on The Middle:
The Middle: 2.24
The Goldbergs: 2.20
And The Blacklist is still NBC's top-rated program, scripted-wise:
The Blacklist: 1.72
Chicago PD: 1.67
I have no idea. As you say, there are far too many places you could put it...
Just curious, what was Blackish's unrounded number
For anyone who's curious: ABC Oscars Promotion
Red Carpet:
Secrets & Lies 2
Agents of SHIELD 1
Modern Family 1
Once Upon A Time 1
American Crime 1
Black-ish 1
How To Get Away With Murder 1
Oscars:
American Crime 3
Secrets & Lies 2
The Goldbergs 1
Once Upon A Time 1
Black-ish 1
How To Get Away With Murder 1
Notable Absents: Scandal, GA, Middle, Shark Tank, DWTS, FOTB
2.16
Hardly surprising.
Thanks
No Scandal is interesting, guess they don't think it needs the assist. Once clearly does.
I find the lack of scandal mildly surprising, although it makes some sense considering it is not even airing this week.
I mean, I expected some form of promotion, since Scandal will take a week off and they want it to be as strong as possible for American Crime's premiere but it isn't all that surprising.
Also, you have you email.
Well they did have Kerry Washington as a presenter and she was on the red carpet. Not an ad per se, but there was a Scandal presence.
It may also have something to do with the fact that Scandal's preempted on Thursday for How to Get Away with Murder's season finale.
I would guess at some point this week it'll happen, or it'll be published Monday morning before the prelims for Secrets & Lies and Battle Creeks (among the other shows) come out.
I forgot about Last Man on Earth! Because I've never seen a promo for it. I'm guessing we'll get a mini batch in late March for Weird Loners, A.D.: The Bible Continues, and Odyssey.
Edit: I forgot the NBC comedies
Scandal is on break because of HTGAWM's 2 hour finale.
The promos are for the new shows and shows like OuaT that's been on a long break and are coming back next week.
Well they had to make room for the new shows, I know it's been heavily promoted.
Exactly, I'm sure new promos would probably come in during that time.
