Note: I was going to follow
the bear's lead on this and skip this game, saying this show was a mini-series that never had a chance at renewal. I'm not 100% sure that's true, but the voting here would very likely be unanimous anyway, so it didn't seem to be worth the time and space. However, I realized that in the past I have given myself a win for similarly murky shows like
The Assets.
So for record-keeping purposes, everyone will be locked in with a "Cancel (Confident)" here. I'm providing this post just in case anyone would like to "opt out" and predict something else.
If you want "Cancel (Confident)," no response is necessary!

They're always good.
It is weird that Zoo is not getting a post-BB slot on Wednesday or Sunday. My best guess is that CBS wants to spread the original series wealth throughout the week, and since Mondays are going 100% rerun the effort is shifting to Tuesdays. That's probably smart since ABC's got The Bachelorette, NBC's got American Ninja Warrior, and Fox will have MasterChef.
Even with Empire, HTGAWM would definitely come next. It would still apply as the biggest Fall freshman show.
I think Sunday 10 PM will be Elementary repeats.
At 9 PM CSI:Cyber repeats if it is renewed? And if it's cancelled, I don't know.
Bearchow or no bearchow, we will see No More of this domestic violence drama.
What has been damaging it so much the past three years or so that has largely missed Survivor?
Cancel (Confident)
yay 2 more points!
The Middle was probably nicked by returning Survivor. And Goldebergs and Modern Family both has gimmicks that helped that be unaffected. #fanexcusebingo: I was surprised ABC advertised every comedy but the Middle this week. Not even during FOTB or RAM.
Super solid for Survivor. It's only a tenth below its premiere two years ago. Which is a good comparison as it was also shortened to 90 minutes.
I think Extant was renewed completely from outside factors. Which is why its stuck at 10. And Criminal Minds hasn't been repeated all year, so they might as well maximize those in the summer I guess
I agree with your prognosis, but I think the double Survivor is more amount trying to keep lead in juice coming into Cyber. Criminal Minds repeats well, but against the Empire finale, probably not.
Finals numbers are in: Empire grew to a 5.4 and 13.9M viewers.
Cancel (confident) here we come! +2 for everyone!
Voting anything other than "Cancel Confident" would be worthy of multiple slaps to one's head.
With NBC, since The Night Shift tanked, its potential fall spot is up for grabs. Assuming there is 1 hour comedy block, Neil Patrick Harris, the 5 renewed dramas, and 3 new dramas on schedule, that leaves one open spot (which would have gone to The Night Shift but now looks very unlikely.) So unless NBC expands their comedy block to 2 hours, goes with 2 hour Datelines, keeps The Biggest Loser in the fall, or brings 4 hours of new dramas to schedule, there is space for The Mysteries Of Laura. I think that it will get the last available timeslot, ahead of The Night Shift which is looking at a potential summer timeslot or cancellation.
Ahah who would go against it?
The cw?
American Idol, Arrow and Survivor were all adjusted up a tenth.
The 100, blackish and Nashville were adjusted down a tenth.
Arrow adjusts up.
The 100 adjusts down.
That would explain why it was greenlit in the first place.
Anyone got the gots to go renew (confident)?
[My answer is Cancel (Confident)]
Empire pulls a massive 6.2 in W18-34 and a massive 3.6 in M18-34.
WB will leverage part of the loses The Mysteries Of Laura is sure to get with whatever project lands on NBC next, which is likely Blindspot. If Blindspot does well for NBC, they will be able to drag The Mysteries Of Laura along with it. However, I would still expect some budget cuts on The Mysteries Of Laura.
Empire made it eight for eight, finishing 5% above the Housewives' huge week eight rating in A18-49+.
Finishing above Housewives' full season one average is now pretty much clinched; it'd have to average about a 4.0 NOT to do that. That means it will be the second-biggest broadcast drama in 14 years of A18-49+. But it will need about a 6.0 average in the last four hours to beat the drama record holder, ER in 2001-02.

Last week was the first time The Goldbergs had dropped from the Middle in the demo. This week is the first time its ever grown in total viewers. Crazy. That's the second highest rated episode of it ever! And I'm sure if it had had a 4.7 lead in it would have gone above a 3.1
ABC was no qualms with just lying on their press releases. Just yesterday "Repeat After Me was steady week to week in adults 18-49 (1.3 to 1.4)".
ABC will just say stuff is steady when it went down!
ABC PR is funnier than NBC's.
They bragged about a The Taste improvement over repeats. But "The Michael J Fox Show retains 100% of its lead-in" it's still the funniest PR headline I've ever seem.
So the usual.
4th and goal, one yard line.
"I take the points" - conservative head coach.
Maybe SyFy will pick it?
Gofer working on The Slap said so on Twitter.
Extant renewal was a shocker.
Before premiere Moonves said ratings are not important because:
1. They sold show internationally for near $2 million per episode.
2. Amazon is co-producer, and chipping in $900,000 per episode.
3. Show is filmed North Carolina (tax breaks of 25% costs, I think).
I assumed he's simply lying (wouldn't be the first time he does) about international part. Boom, they renewed it despite low ratings.
NBC is listening my advices, they will have Talking Bible.
Only they call it "Beyond A.D", and "talk show companion series" won't be broadcasted, it will be digital. But if Odyssey flops... who knows.

I know Arrow isn't being extended by a minute by CW, so that's out of the question. Could there be an affiliate in a major market (or a group in smaller markets) that push The 100 to a later slot to cause the consistent downward adjustment?
Yeah, I'm suspecting the same.
Before The 100 I saw those repeated down adjustments happening only happen when show starts at xy:01 and leads out of much stronger show.
Deadline reports there's Arrow/Flash spinoff in works . It's not idea any more (like Pedowitz said last month on TCA), it's a real project now.
Probably for midseason next year, and likely directly to series order.
