- FINALS UPDATE: Shark Tank (2.0) rose to even with last week's episode. Blue Bloods (1.3) lost its new season high (but still tied).
- It was the first time in three Fridays with no World Series and no Halloween, and the majority of shows were up vs. the results on those nights. NBC was up across the board, which was good news for Dateline (1.4) and a pretty much back-to-normal Grimm (1.3). However, one-tenth growth for Constantine (1.0) probably isn't enough to meaningfully make up for its severe week two drop.
- CBS also grew from start to finish as The Amazing Race (1.2), Hawaii Five-0 (1.2) and especially Blue Bloods (1.4) were all on the rebound. It was a new season high for Bloods, which may set it apart somewhat in an extremely crowded CBS drama race.
- ABC had an uptick for Last Man Standing (1.3) and a big night for 20/20 (1.7), though Cristela (1.0) was unable to bounce back from the 1.0 it saw the last two Fridays. Fox's MasterChef Junior repeat (0.6) roughly matched the average of pulled Utopia.

I like idea of MasterChef Junior repeats on Friday. Because some people are probably not aware of it moving to Tuesday and/or are watching something else on Tue 8 PM. So far, so good.
Last Man Standing is making case for renewal. Currently its A18-49 average is only 0.1 down y2y, while presumably ABC gets it cheaper this season (why else long renewal negotiations?). However, it will probably come down to how many comedy blocks ABC will have next season, so it's too early to tell. Cristela is similar case. But besides ABC keeping 4 comedy blocks, it additionally needs to go up over next (higher PUT level) months. That is because Cristela is bound to drop during lower PUT spring months, and if it enters spring at around this 1.0 level, it will quickly get ugly (and if it drops much bellow 1.0, it will be axed before spring already). All in all, I don't think Cristela is dead, but I give it 10% chances of reneal, 20% at most.
Whoops, I just realised I forgot to do a First Two Weeks for Constantine. I can still do it this week and just go for the defer points though, right?
Of course you can. If you want to that is.
Hey, that 1.3 still puts it ahead of Hawaii 5-0, CSI, and Elementary.
