- NBC had a surprisingly sizable spike for the Last Comic Standing finale (1.4). This put the finale at just a single tenth behind the previous finale in 2010, though that was not reflective of the season as a whole (as that 1.5 four years ago was a season low). But the season's 1.26 average was still slightly higher in Plus (67) than the 2010 season (62).
- NFL preseason pre-emptions weren't nearly as big a deal with just one game on the slate, but ABC's The Quest (0.5) slipped again in week three, putting it behind all Black Box results in the slot. The likely final episode of Gang Related (0.7) came back up from last week's new low.

Mom's impressive retention out of TBBT (again) is worth mentioning IMO.
Even though my favorite comic was eliminated last week, there was a really competative top three. It didn't hurt its lead in doubled w2w and it got to air at 9.
Mom should have been airing after TBBT to begin with. But I think they thought the Chuck Lorre name would be enough for it to self start. It was a valiant eddo
Well to be fair, they are trying it again this year ;)
BTW, did you know that Mike and Molly has again a 22 episode order? (TV Line has reported it). I find it surprising because unless they plan to replace The McHarthys right away We Are Men style I don't know what they will do with it. Double pump somewhere?
Has Two and a Half Men been comfirmed for a 22 episode order? I heard it was for 13. Mike & Molly could potentially replace BOTH of them after 13 episodes.
Were would you put the odd couple then?
It might end up being next year's "Bad Teacher". I can't see them throwing Mike & Molly under the bus. It's not Rules of Engagement. Even in midseason filler role, it was an anchor.
While I agree in principle going with a scheduled 10:00 rerun if Madam Secretary needs to get off the sked, CBS affiliates would probably raise a stink: not only would local news have irregular start times due to football but they wouldn't even get the benefit of original programming as a lead-in. And in a battle between CSI and The Mentalist, CBS is going to show better treatment to the show they have a stake in.
I do think that CSI: Cyber makes a spring debut if only because CBS will want to see if it can do at least the same business as the parent show. If it does, then the original ends after 15 seasons. CSI has got to be one pricey show and ending it allows the show's second life in syndication to begin.
