Rating the Ratings: Survivor finally put together an impressive season without the benefit of previous players, riding the Brains/Brawn/Beauty twist to its smallest year-to-year drop in three and a half years. It was the first spring season in three years to qualify as a hit under A18-49+. Because of the Winter Olympics, the show started a bit later than usual and aired its finale on Wednesday, but I don't think that made a lot of difference either way. And the show likely continued to benefit somewhat from the collapse of Fox's competing singing shows. The fall and spring seasons combined to deliver exactly the same A18-49+ as last season, so CBS isn't changing a thing; they'll return to the Wednesday 8/7c hour in 2014-15. Grade: B.
Here's the now updated War of 18-49 post for Survivor.

It also probably benefitted from no random shrinking of the premiere last year for a Big Bang Theory repeat. Seriously, what was up with that?
