War of 18-49 Update, Drop Dead Diva (Summer 2014)

Let's take a look at the summer 2014 season (the sixth overall) of Drop Dead Diva on Lifetime.

Rating the Ratings: Drop Dead Diva was another announced final season on cable that exited with a real whimper. The two-hour premiere's 0.3 rating was incredibly weak, down about 50% from the previous premiere, but Diva at least managed to build a bit from there to a usual mix of 0.4's and 0.5's. Still, it finished down nearly a third from the previous season, and was actually down week-to-week for the series finale (0.47 -> 0.45). The announced end came before season six even began, and this is a show that's been un-cancelled before. But these ratings are probably not going to change anyone's mind. Grade: D-.
