- Even Gordon Ramsay isn't fixing Fox's problems right now. The return of MasterChef managed just a 1.5 demo rating, which is pretty shockingly low considering the summer 2013 season never even went below a 2.0. This is not that far from what fellow Ramsay show Hell's Kitchen has done of late, but Fox surely wanted better. And 24: Live Another Day (1.5) also took yet another hit in week four.
- While the holiday may have hurt the overall landscape a bit, MasterChef still lost to shows on other networks that it was handily outrating last summer, like week two of ABC's The Bachelorette (1.6) and the two-hour return of NBC's American Ninja Warrior (1.6). Ninja Warrior was down just a tenth from last year's premiere, while The Bachelorette was just a tenth behind week two of last season.
