Rating the Ratings: Season five was the first White Collar campaign to air fully during the broadcast regular season. It had a tough run in the fall, mostly managing 0.5's with some 0.6's sprinkled in. This level was down at least 20% from its last regular season run. But the show came back from holiday break against an easier Thursday landscape with some really positive results. All four January episodes did better than a 0.7 rating, and the finale (0.76) was actually double digits ahead of the season four finale. That left this 13-episode season at 15% behind the prior winter's average. White Collar is not yet renewed, though Deadline detailed the ongoing negotiations for what would probably be a final season renewal. Grade: C+.
