- All the networks were at or near full strength on the last night before an 18-day Winter Olympics interruption. The biggest winner was the 200th episode of CBS' Criminal Minds (2.8), surging over 25% vs. its last original and tying its season high. It surely helped out CSI (2.0), fully recovering from a series low last week.
- Almost everything else was pretty steady, including American Idol (3.9), which scored its first week-to-week growth of the season. NBC's crime lineup of Law and Order: SVU (1.8) and Chicago PD (1.7) held up nicely opposite the surging CBS. A couple noticeable downturns: ABC's Nashville (1.3), back at a tie for a series low, and the CW's The Tomorrow People (0.5), suggesting that last week's uptick was just a blip.

I'm surprised SFN is as high as a 1.2 in True. A 1.5 out of a 3.5 when no other shows on broadcast began at 9:30 and no other networks aired a half-hour show all night is the most staggering rejection I can remember in some considerable time. I mean, my first instinct for comparison was Lone Star!
How To Be a Gentlemen did pretty terribly, but it was pulled after two episodes, so it couldn't do worse. Ready for Love was terrible too
I may sound like a broken record but I also think The Millers is doing a terrible job after Big Bang. I would love to see those quarter hours. It just did a 2.6 out of 5.2 which is 50%. While Super Fun Night is worst, at least Super Fun Night has decent competition in every channel. That Thursday at 8h30 hour is a wasteland, it's ridiculous that The Millers can't hold it better. Two and a Half Men did a fine job there last year.
But back to your main point, yes, SFN is a huge flop.
Oh Ready for Love was staggering rejection, I'd forgotten all about that and I'm not sure I wanted reminding. ;)
Rob was getting low-to-mid 3s out of BBT's 5s a couple years ago, and $#!+ My Dad Says averaged in the 3s when it was getting 4s, according to one of Spot's Power Rankings commentaries. I think it just shows the limits of the lead-in effect. Some people just watch a particular show on a network and nothing else. We see the same thing with Modern Family
That's certainly something that can be much more prevalent in the DVR era, simply because you can now do something like watching MF live at 9 and then Criminal Minds on delay from 9:31.
