- Leading out of the NFL game of the day and airing opposite a season-low NFL matchup on NBC, Fox's animated lineup had a really big night, with new season highs and double digit growth across the board.
- CBS was stronger than usual for an NFL-less Sunday with the two-hour season finale of Survivor, down 19% from last fall's finale. (However, given the show had an NFL lead-in last year and only a couple regional lead-ins this year, that's probably not as bad as it seems.)
- ABC was down on midseason finale night with Once Upon a Time and Revenge.

The major benefit that Dancing with the Stars/The Bachelor bring to ABC Mondays is schedule stability. After Monday Night Football, ABC usually floundered with low-rated movies and series (see one-and-done Emily's Reasons Why Not and Jake in Progress). Now at least the Alphabet has stable Fall/Spring & Winter/Summer franchises. Although given how DWTS has been eroded by The Voice, I bet ABC wishes it could have a MNF/Bachelor/DWTS/Bachelorette schedule.
BTW, on the schedules plus pages from Sunday and today, it's been reading "the ABC Sunday 2013-14 lineup."
So it looks like it'll be exactly a 2.5 average for Survivor. Your records indicate that the last few years the fall edition had an uptick from that calendar year's spring edition. I guess the spring will be in the lowish 2s then...
What About Brian?
I think as much as DWTS stops the bleeding a bit (and that's what it did this fall), I can't imagine the show ever going back to nothing ore than a league average player. I think ABC missed out big this year... They should have left Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays mostly unchanged and went big on revamping Sundays, Mondays and Tuesday by reallocating the Sunday dramas and putting reality there. Also, I have to say that I think Monday at 9pm is probably as good to launch comedy as is Tuesday with CBS softening more and more (also, CBS comedies tend to attract more 34-49s whereas both FOX and ABC comedies go for the 18-34s which is why FOX comedies hurt ABC comedies more than I imagine CBS comedies would). But now they've missed their chance and I am out of clues as to what should be done with the night other than a complete revamp. I still think Sundays should be The Bachelor/Filler/DWTS though.
