At the beginning of the A18-49+ era, The Simpsons was on a ratings island on Sunday, significantly outrating a bunch of weak/waning comedies. But Fox solidified its Sunday lineup with the 2005 resurrection of Family Guy and successfully accompanied it with fellow Seth MacFarlane show American Dad! Those three have remained in place for nearly a decade, though Dad!'s run on Fox ended after the 2013-14 season.

2014-15 Update: Fox's Sunday comedies got off to a roaring start, with Brooklyn Nine-Nine fitting right in and Family Guy debuting with an enormous crossover with The Simpsons. But the animated anchors were generally down in Plus when they didn't have NFL help, and Mulaney was an abject disaster at 9:30. Fox got some relief there in the spring as The Last Man on Earth (97) improved things at 9:30. Last Man will hope for some help from the NFL halo when it gets a whirl on the fall schedule.
Notable mideason replacements:
- Family Guy (97) and American Dad! (88) came onto the sked at the end of the 2004-05 season and aired much of their initial orders in the summer of 2005.
- Bob's Burgers began its run in winter of the 2010-11 season (92), then was held all the way to spring in 2011-12 (79). Between Allen Gregory and Bob's, Fox tried another newbie Napoleon Dynamite (110) in 2011-12. (Its numbers are inflated because a third of its six-ep order aired after an NFL playoff game.)
- The 7:00 hours are pretty boring on the other networks, so I've omitted them (maybe I'll put 'em in the next edition!), but a lot of different original scripted series have aired in the hour on Fox. The two most common occupants were King of the Hill and The Cleveland Show, each of which tended to average a 60-65ish in their 7:00 hour runs. Malcolm in the Middle also aired its 2004-05 season there, averaging a 65.
