- CBS had a fairly encouraging week from its 9:00 comedies Mike and Molly and Mom, each up multiple ticks. The network had a Monday Night Football pre-emption, but Mom actually ended up adjusting up after finals, making for a pretty surprising 21% week-to-week bounce.
- On the other hand, the holiday began early on Fox, down double digits with Almost Human (now tying the low-end Bones performance) and Sleepy Hollow (a disheartening three tenths below its previous low).
- ABC was a little stronger than usual with the performance finale of Dancing with the Stars, though this was 19% below last fall's Monday finale. That may have contributed to the further softening of competing The Voice, down another tick and itself running around -20% year-to-year at this point.

I continue to be impressed by The Blacklist holding steady despite a continually falling The Voice lead-in. I know the real test will be if it can perform on its own, but signs are positive.
NBC have got to give The Blacklist a go on its own now. It has stabilised *far* better than Revolution, and NBC need to: a) launch something else there (Believe?); b) Give another something else a 2.x lead-in.
It's obvious that NBC will carry out the plan to move Tuesday's Voice to 8/7c in spring (if nothing else, it'll bulldoze Glee) to launch comedies. Could The Blacklist handle Thursday? I'm guessing that it would fit more easily on midseason Sundays, but I like 9-11 reality there, especially if it's not Celebrity Apprentice. (TBL could go here, much as I hate it.) just hope it doesn't stay in the Voice lead-out slot, as it clearly doesn't need the protection anymore.
I was not expecting such a fall for Sleepy Hollow in just one week... could it be an effect of the not falling lead-in? I don't remember what it had before Almost Human...
It had Bones. But I don't think that's it. Bones pulled a 1.9 before and several 2.0s/2.1s before, it's not a good explanation. Unless there's an issue of compatibility here. I think it's more related with DWTS spiking for the finale and the CBS comedies also inching up in the 9pm hour for whatever reason.
I was advocating that in the first weeks of the season before they announced the Chicago PD thing and I still think they should go for it. They have plenty of options. I would use it Wednesdays at 9pm, followed by Crisis which sounds the most compatible one they have. Chicago PD could either go Mondays at 10 or Tuesdays at 9, even though I think they need that hour for comedies as much as I am dreading the 3 network comedies overload, again. SVU could simply take over Thursdays at 9. I am convinced it would be able to double the audience of the comedies they have there because I think Criminal Minds really hurts it. There is no procedural competition Thursdays at 9.
These are actually very strong ideas. There's a lot of moves to promote, but I guess that's what the Olympics are for. Though I wonder where you would put Michael, Sean, Undateable, Believe, The Night Shift, and American Dream Builders into the equation.
I would axe Michael, Sean and burn of Undateable in the summer or Saturdays. American Dream Builders can be Sundays 8-10pm and they can then put The Night Shift at 10pm. I suggest they air Believe after America's Got Talent on the summer a la Under the Dome. Much less competition and chance to build. It is doomed on Sundays midseason IMO.
