The Walking Dead is back to blow all of our minds again... and I'm just talking about the ratings. I could trot out my old line about how I can't possibly see a drama on basic cable getting any bigger than what this did last season, but then I've been saying that since season one to absolutely no avail. A big finale spike usually means good things for the next premiere, so I say it grinds out one last series high tonight, edging the spring finale's 6.4. But I simply lack the imagination to say that it's taking yet another huge leap into the 7's or something.
Over/Under: 6.55.

Over. I think this season will see the show peak ratings wise, before 2014/15 when AMC launches its spin-offs.
Over. I've under-estimated cable far too often!!
It is my favorite show on TV at the moment and I am salivating over its return. Every time it came back I have underestimated it and thought it was done growing. I actually think the same here, but I just can't bring myself to make the same mistake over and over again. I guess I prefer to make a new mistake if there is one to be made. So over.
It can't possbly get bigger, but I'd be stupid not to stick with history. OVER (6.6).

I think it will go into 7 territory sometime this season, though perhaps not with the premiere. I'm here for the spring half doubling the ratings of the #2 drama.
Under. Purely so I can potentially get two in a row where I was the sole dissenter and I was right (Survivor the other), I'm not actually convinced at all that this show has stopped growing. About the only thing it's not yet done is beat football, and I'm half expecting that this season at this rate if there's a week with a bad matchup.
Over. eight and a half
Hoping for over, but UNDER
Your number is sheer folly, Mr. Igwell. But I'm inclined to go Over myself.
Against my better judgment, I am again going UNDER on a cable line. I will go 6.2.
CW should have cancelled it last season when the show couldn't even retain half of TVD ratings. Now, they shipped the show do to mondays with a much lower and incompatible lead;
I don't like cable questions. I don't remember the last time I got one right. Every time I bet against a cable show's growth, I lose. Every time I stick with the high side, it's a rare slip.
I'm going to bite the bullet and say that with the Governor still at large, people will tune in more than ever. Over at 7.1.
Over.
Last year it got its series high on a night with no broadcast competition besides a 1.5 Revenge. This time is has Football and Baseball to compete. I'd say the best is matching
Over.
