Rating the Ratings: USA Network's drama struggles continued in summer 2013, with most of their main dramas down by 15-20%. And Royal Pains was no exception. The silver lining is that it ended up faring better than the premiere suggested; after beginning at a 0.71 demo on June 12, it grew in each of the next four weeks and only dropped back below that 0.71 one time all summer. It was renewed for summer 2014 long ago, so it's coming back, but USA should probably be hunting for anchor-worthy shows to replace it. It feels like this show only has another season or maybe two in it, especially if it drops this much again. Grade: C-.
