The X Factor Last Season |
3.4 (premiere, 9/12/12, -23% y2y) 2.92 (Wed avg, -23% y2y) 2.79 (Thu avg, -21% y2y) 2.7 (Wed finale, 12/19/12, -18% y2y) 3.1 (Thu finale, 12/20/12, -18% y2y) |
I said in the Best Case/Worst Case posts that this show would replicate the 23% drop of last season, and I think it'll be down by about that amount across pretty much the whole season. Dropping 23% from last year's 3.4 premiere takes us to right around 2.6. And just an hour of runtime (with the MasterChef finale leading out) could hurt a teeny bit. But I'll give the premiere a tiny benefit of the doubt because it doesn't have to face The Voice, which NBC infamously threw at it for the premiere last season.
Over/Under: 2.65.

I'm rooting for this show to do OK but I don't see the lack of competition really helping here when the judging panel is so meh and the lack of success that has surrounded it in general. Combined with it only being on for the lesser-viewed hour, under.
Under.
Under.
I don't know anyone who cares about anyone on the panel. And it still feels like Idol's bastard stepchild. Still, last season premiered at around the level of S1's Wednesday finale, so I guess...just over with 2.7.
I'm going to go with Under at 2.6. Following it, the MasterChef finale will be 2.5.
Very close one. I will say under at a 2.6.
Over. Last year, it went 2.6/2.9 in the hour, despite competition from NBC's The Voice. This year, it will drag a few tenths away from NBC's Million Second Quiz.
Very well set line, I have no idea really but will go for under.
Over.
This is Gavin Hetherington, I can't seem to sign into my account for some reason :-/
Over. For some reason, I think XF will surprise everyone this season (or maybe it's just wishful thinking, I don't know =P)
You know what: I am changing my pick to OVER at a 2.7. I am that conflicted.
Over. Methinks the real drops will come later.
