- Fox had a decent enough start to its college football season with what I thought would be an unappealing Oklahoma/West Virginia matchup. It nearly doubled last year's USC/Hawaii premiere, though it may have helped that ABC took a week off from football for lower-rated NASCAR (which was down two tenths from last year's corresponding race). The ESPN primetime game (3.2) dominated, actually edging last week's ABC football premiere.
