- CBS began its 2013-14 season with the season premiere of Survivor. A nation held its breath for a two-tenth upward adjustment, but there was none at all, so it ended up down by 19% from last year's premiere but still an improvement on the very weak 2.4 premiere from last spring. It led into the finale of Big Brother, which wrapped up a season that was barely up in raw numbers on each night. The finale was exactly even with last year and the show's biggest Wednesday number this season.
- Elsewhere on a very busy night for mid-2's reality shows, the finale of America's Got Talent went a tick above last year's shoved-to-Thursday finale. And Fox's The X Factor didn't put together the same kind of week two rebound as last year, finishing even with last week's one-hour premiere.
