Spotted Ratings, Tuesday 9/10/13

WHAT MATTERS:

• The return of FX's Sons of Anarchy (3.1) crushed all the broadcast options and continued its slow but steady growth trajectory over the last few years, building by three tenths on last year's premiere (the previous series high). Busting through the 3.0 threshold is a huge deal, as other top cable series like True Blood and Game of Thrones have never gone higher than that.

• On NBC, night two of The Million Second Quiz shed a couple tenths, while the finale of So You Think You Can Dance (split apart by a 9:00 presidential address on the East Coast) wrapped up its season even week-to-week and down 13% from last season's 1.6 finale.
