Wow, I dropped like a rock over the summer. I need to start prepping for my attempt to reclaim my regular-season title.
Wow I did so bad on this one! I hope I can do better on the regular season!
Huh, thought I did far worse than tying for third. Now that I've got a silver and bronze-level placing under my belt, I need to go for the gold next season.
My percentage drop is singularly horrifying. My gut is a better quarter than my quarter, methinks...
And not just cause I suck at catching quarters, meaning I had to do five tosses to get a passable result...
Wow, we all did terribly! The fact that I missed several games while travelling did not help, but there are no excuses for 3-6. I actually should have missed more, but I came back from Peru early due to a medical scare.
See you all in the regular season. 2013-14 will be my year!
Even though I did well enough for third place, it's tough to be happy being under .500 while also 1) missing Under the Dome's huge debut by half 2) missing Breaking Bad's resurgence because I overreacted to... 3) getting burned by Dexter soft showing. Probably the three biggest stories of the summer, and I was on the wrong side of all three.
Dang, so close to winning!
Congrats to Igwell!!
Is September 9 The Million Second Quiz?
Yes.
It seems you just had the unluckier quarter than Iggy. (Yours seemed weighted toward Over, which is never a good thing...) I guess I should be flattered that you guys think the best way to beat the lines is to flip coins!
The best way to beat weather predictions on questionable days is to flip quarters, according to a Cracked.com article about the six biggest "full of s__t" jobs...
Theoretically, it should work on tv ratings, too. Of course, on Breaking Bad at least, I should've listened to my gut, which was saying over (albeit by .9 less that what it turned out, but still...)
Thank you for the kind words.
Special thanks to "One" for letting me use his idea of flipping a coin.
Another victory for apathy!
