Rating the Ratings: The rapid descent of Dancing with the Stars continued in spring 2013. Unlike in some previous seasons, this one had the advantage of a head start on The Voice, and it turned that into an impressive 3.2 premiere demo that was well ahead of any main night result from the fall. But The Voice's return the next week instantly brought the show all the way back to earth with a 2.4, and it ended up settling in the 2.1 vicinity on the main night for most of the rest of the season. That premiere was yet another piece of evidence that DWTS can still be a strong player apart from The Voice, but ABC's big DWTS move didn't really address that issue; instead, it'll stay on Monday (opposite The Voice) and see the Tuesday results show go away. Grade: D+.
