Rating the Ratings: Southland admirably turned its seven-episode run on NBC into four more seasons on TNT, but it was never a ratings powerhouse, and it was always one big drop away from serious danger. That big drop finally came this spring, as the show dropped much more year-to-year than in its previous TNT seasons. It actually increased its ratings a bit over the course of the season after starting at an ugly 0.44, but it didn't have a truly solid point all season until the finale's 0.68. In the end, it was too little too late. Grade: C-.
