The Question, Sunday 3/3/13: Which Two-Hour Premiere Gets Fired?

It's been an uneventful winter for Sunday broadcast series. But with NFL and awards seasons over, the broadcasters are back in force with a couple two-hour premieres tonight. ABC has new midseason drama Red Widow leading out of Once Upon a Time while NBC trots out another edition of Celebrity Apprentice. Which two-hour premiere gets fired? That's The Question for Sunday, March 3, 2013.

Celebrity Apprentice Last Season ABC Drama Premieres
2.6 (premiere, 2/19/12)
2.02 (average)
2.2 (finale, 5/20/12)
2.2 (Last Resort, 9/27/12, local lead-in)
2.1 (666 Park Ave, 9/30/12, 3.0 Revenge)
2.8 (Nashville, 10/10/12, 4.9 Modern Fam)
1.4 (Zero Hour, 2/14/13, local)

I predicted Apprentice would be just over a tick stronger than Red Widow, so you might expect me to be even more favorable than that for Red Widow tonight since it's a series premiere. However, Celebrity Apprentice also behaved rather like a new series last spring, with the premiere way out ahead of every other point. And while I think Red Widow could be a bubble show, I acknowledge that there is more downside than upside to that prediction. It is more likely to bomb out than hugely overachieve. So I'm trying to account for that possibility as well.

Spread: Celebrity Apprentice beats Red Widow by 0.25 points.

(Reply with "Celebrity Apprentice" if you think Celebrity Apprentice BEATS Red Widow by 0.3 points or more. Reply with "Red Widow" if you think Celebrity Apprentice BEATS Red Widow by 0.2 points or fewer or Red Widow TIES or BEATS Celebrity Apprentice. The result will be based on finals rounded to one decimal point.)
