The Question, Saturday 3/30/13: Can BBC America Doctor Up Record Ratings?

Since we're in the middle of a calendar stretch with lots of stuff happening, I decided to try a 14-straight-days-with-a-The-Question stunt. Today that brings us to BBC America, where the network brings back the BBC's hugely popular Doctor Who tonight. The show has been a record-setter for the fledgling cable net, but a low-rated time of year and a move to the 8:00 hour may challenge the show's upward trajectory. Can BBC America Doctor up record ratings? That's The Question for Saturday, March 30, 2013.

Recent Doctor Who Episodes
0.6 (fall premiere, 9/1/12)
0.4 -> 0.4 -> 0.4 (avail. post-premiere eps)
0.6 (Christmas special, 12/25/12)

The info on this show's ratings history is sparse, but we do know its fall premiere set a BBCA viewership record, while the Christmas special set a network demo record (in 25-54) and was up massively year-to-year. So it's been on a growth trend, probably thanks in part to the network making its way into more homes. But it's aired at 9:00 for most of its run, and the move to the lower-HUT 8:00 hour on Easter weekend could hurt.

Over/Under: 0.55.

Shout-out to my pal Son of the Bronx, from whom all the 18-49 info comes.
